LocallySocially (trading as LocallySocially) (“We“) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our Terms of Use and, in the case of organisations with whom we have separate contracts, any applicable terms of service, and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. We may collect and process the following data:

COMPANIES OR EMPLOYERS

  • By submitting or agreeing to the submission of personal data on your behalf, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
  • All information you provide to us is stored on our third party secure servers. Payment transactions (if any) will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
  • Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.   • To provide the Service, which includes in particular the provision of your personal data to Receiving Organisations. This includes both Secure Electronic Documents and other information relating to you which we hold and which you may send to a Receiving Organisation via the Service.
  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or our Contributing Partners.
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.
  • To notify you about changes to our service.
  • We may also use your data in order to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you. We may contact you about these through our site, by email or by other electronic means. We will not provide any personal data to any third parties for this purpose.   • If LocallySocially or a substantial part of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LocallySocially, our customers, or others.

USER RIGHTS

  • Users are in control of the use of personal data for marketing purposes on an opt-in basis. User settings can be viewed or changed in the user’s account preferences.
  • Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

DESTRUCTION OF DATA

  • We may destroy or otherwise dispose of any of personal data we collect from you unless we receive, no later than ten days after the end of any agreement with you (whether under terms of service or otherwise) or a trial period (where no contract is entered into immediately following the trial period), a written request for the delivery to you of the then most recent back-up of any of your personal data we hold. We shall use reasonable commercial endeavours to deliver the back-up to you within 30 days of our receipt of such a written request.
  • You may lodge a request to have any data that we have collected from you erased. Please note that in cases where we are not the Data Controller, we may have to refer such requests to the Data Controller for processing.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

  • The current legislation gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the legislation. You may lodge a Subject Access Request to have a copy of any of your personal data that we hold sent to you. You should lodge the request in writing via email to [email protected] .
